About Burl Source
Without getting too long winded, I thought you might like to know a little bit about Burl Source so you can decide if this is where you want to purchase your wood.
The wood in our store is selected and prepared to be used by custom knife makers for handle material. I do my best to find the very best in figured and unusual woods. Since this is all I do, I can focus all my efforts on providing you with the very best wood possible. While these materials are often used for other projects my first priority is to provide the best possible material for knife makers.
When I cut the wood, it is done in such a way to provide the most strength, show off the grain and figure, and bring out the unique natural beauty of each piece. The way I cut and prepare the wood may result in a lot of waste and higher prices than you may be able to find elsewhere, but I believe it is better to pay a little more for something that is higher quality and looks better, than to get a little bit lower price for something mediocre. Each block is professionally stabilized by K&G Stabilizing in Lakeside Arizona. Not only are they the old timers in the industry, but they are also thought of as the very best amongst the higher end custom knife makers.
All of the wood comes with a “No questions asked, Money back guarantee”. If you are unhappy with anything you purchase here, just return it within 7 days and we will refund your money. No questions asked. We realize that buying something based on just a photo isn't the same as seeing it in person, so I wanted to be sure that if what you get is different than what you expected, you could get your money back with no hassles. If an item is returned within 7 days, a refund is made right away. Usually within 24 hours.
Everything in the store is in stock and available for immediate purchase. The store software removes items from store inventory as soon as it is sold and check out is completed, so what you see in the store is what is currently available. Each piece is individually photographed, front and back, so can know exactly what you are getting.
