Stabilized Leopardwood from Brazil. This wood is also called Brazilian Lacewood. The wood was cut quarter sawn to show off the contrasting flecks that look like leopard spots. The flecks have a metallic luster that cause them to flash as the light hits from different angles. At times there may be small voids at some of the flecks. If any occur they are an easy fix with a drop of CA glue.
Professionally stabilized by K&G Stabilizing. Their chemical stabilizing process fully impregnates the wood with a chemical solution that is then cured into a solid. This process makes the wood harder and more durable than it was prior to stabilizing.
